This would be a deal at 250. Fact is, trimmer, battery, and charger have been low 200s, and the blower isn't that great to make up the difference. Thanks for posting, though.

That blower actually gets rave reviews.. I almost bought it before noticing how awful the battery life is . So I suppose it depends on your use case

It's only 120 mph, though. Ego has 4 or 5 blowers that are faster, with the best being 200 mph. Ryobi has a faster one, too.

For the premium that carpentry tool brands charge for outdoor power tools, you can afford to have the separate Ego system, and, you get the industry's best performance.

Sounds like an advertisement, but what can people say about the performance of Ego tools that isn't good?

Milwaukee has issues with their OPE overheating, depending on which battery you use. They also don't have as high of specs as Ego.

Dewalt has a lot of duds in the OPE world, too.

Makita has some really great OPE, but they are really expensive. Their blowers are a joke, too.

That can't be said about Ego.

The trimmer is the business, and the blower is the first battery powered unit I've been satisfied with. It could be better I'm sure but I find it more than adequate. A 9ah (20v rating) flexvolt and both tools is pretty good at this price. Not going to make resellers rich but if you need the whole kit you aren't going to get it for cheaper without a lot of work (hacking or buying split kits and piecing it back together)

I looked up the previous deals and the best price for trimmer, charger and battery was $215. This was 2 years ago. For the tool only blower the best price was $162. So I decided to pull the trigger on it and picked it up today. I am very happy how powerful both tools are. In my book this might not be the slickest deal in the world but I doubt that this combo will get any cheaper over BF.

Who would pay 162 for this blower? It's not in the top tier of blowers. It's not even close. I think it would be a deal if the blower came out to about 100, which is about what people sell the Milwaukee fuel blower for, second hand, new. Enjoy your purchase, though, if it makes you happy.

I would because I already have a FlexVolt batteries and I like my tools on one system. But the post is about the kit with the trimmer and 9ah battery for $350, $162 was just the lowest price on the blower alone that I could find. I just edged, trimmed and blew debris off of my property on one and a half 9ah FlexVolt battery. Roughly 450ft of edging driveways and pathways, substantial trimming, and blowing debris and leaves from 1/4 acre of lawns so I can bag them. Plenty of power for my use in both tools so yes, makes me happy. Full transparency, I am not a landscaper but I like yardwork so this is from personal use standpoint.

Yup, 3ah if used with 60v tool and 9ah if used with 20v tool.

Mph matter for wet or heavy things, cfm matters for dry big things.

Dewalt - This cordless axial blower produces up to 600 cfm of air volume and 125 mph.

EGO - $229 (tool only) 650 cfm, 160 mph tool only.

So $229 Ego about 50% stronger than this ~$100 effective Dewalt Blower deal.

Couldn't find a quick search to compare 200mph bare tool EGO.

It's not smart to get tool only. There have been deals for that blower, with battery, between 200 and 250.

The 765 cfm/200 mph one is awesome. I own it, and it works amazing.

I'm guessing you would not recommend the EGO one that is less powerful than this Dewalt one. :-)

"Turbo button delivers 530 CFM, up to 110 MPH to power through heavy debris"

Dewalt just needs to have more options.
