This Ender 3 V3 SE is basically the updated Ender 3 S1 for the price of the Ender 3 Neo. For those completely lost in Creality's nomenclature: it's a pretty good deal on a pretty decent printer.

It's will grow on you. It's like Fad ^ (-1) . The longer you have it the more you use it.

I got my Ender 3 Pro from Microcenter for $99. Didnt open it for a month. Mid pandemic. First year printed 10 times , 2020 maybe 30 times. This year more than 40 already. I have about 15 filaments and many were given away by manufacturers on Facebook. Look up Eryone group they have promotions. It's really fun thing especially with kids. I printed soccer team keychains for them. Many fidget toys. Just a small little robot guy with articulating arms and legs gets sooo much joy out of elementary school kids

Would you recommend this over the Sovol SV06?

Hm I wonder if this is worth upgrading from my v2. I don't print enough to justify a $500 printer but auto bed leveling, faster print speed, and direct drive may be worth the upgrade.
Do we think it might be cheaper for Black Friday?

It depends on what you're looking to print with. This printer here is primarily for PLA and PETG, which is what 99% of people use. For exotic filaments you need the 300C hotend of the Sovol.

I have the Sovol SV06 Plus, which is the upgraded model and have no complaints.

So these budget printers cant print what... is there anything mainstream I might want to print that this just cannot do? I am sure this can print out any toy or little figurines but meaning something more practical that you can use.....

Can these print out like airsoft guns with ammo, and slingshots with the balls, etc?
You can print pretty much anything with this printer that a $1,000 one can print, but it may require more skill and trial and error. People print ar15 stuff with them, so anything airsoft is easily doable. Except for ammo. Tiny and perfectly round and smooth balls are too much for any printer.

These can print real guns lol.

Look up "PrintShootRepeat" on Youtube as one example.

why why why did I stay up late enough to see this?

i have one Ender 3 V2 well used, one unopened in a box...yet here I am at 1:30 in the morning contemplating this.

meh, guess I'll pass because I've gotten so used to manual leveling but this would be a great first printer for someone who doesn't have 2 already.

I thought the same thing 2 yrs ago. It may sit for a couple weeks between prints but I always find something dumb or useful to do with it. Do it and join the rest of us that subtly curse being out of filament til there's a sale.
