My wife saw a TV ad for AARP and since we are old enough it was interesting to us.

I asked my son to look into it for us and he found a good deal I thought I would share.

This includes the magazine and a free second person membership and a free charger or insulated trunk organizer.

First off, see if you have the offers like my son did. Our Chase card says spend $12 and get back $8 so it comes out to $4 for a year of AARP. Check your offers for that card, expires 11/29/2023. Then click the link and sign up.

If you don't have the above or see it then try Capital One. He logged into our Capital One account and then went to the Capital One Offers and searched for AARP and it came back with $23 dollars back as a statement credit. So that one makes it pretty much FREE and maybe money back? So if you click on that link and sign up it works too.

If anyone else has any other ways please feel free to share! Last but not least its on auto renew so he added to my 2024 paper calendar we already have to cancel it before it does and look again.

Seems like a lousy long term deal compared to previous BF offers, but a year free is still a year free. I've yet to find a purpose for it (nearly all programs link through to inflated prices, plus your "discount" which isn't enough to offset the inflated amount) but if it's not costing me anything- meh, why not.

The best discount we receive from it is Att. No activation fees and a small monthly discount. I think $5 or 10/line.

The $8 off $12 offer is also available on US Bank credit cards! (YMMV, I see it on mine)

It gives my parents a nice discount on car insurance as well as home insurance so look into that as well and as long as your above 18 you qualify for AARP now 😂

I dont know if it's still available it there was a deal on Facebook where you can get it for $45 for 5 years. I mainly got it for the golfing deals and will more than pay for it self.

I have Capital One. Clicked on the deal for $23 credit on statement. It directed me to AARP website to renew. I chose 1 year at $12. The 2 year option was $43. So we will see if Capital One credits my statement at $12 or the full $23 amount.

Please keep us posted on what credit you get. Thanks

Seems like you can stack offers. Start from cap one, follow the links to go to aarp, select the plan and pay with chase cc (add offer to your cc). When I read the requirements to qualify for the discount on the cap one app, I didn't see something saying that you have to use a cap one card to pay.

Can someone double check?

We got a "Black Friday" membership flyer in the mail, with a code that worked online, 3 years for $30, 5 years for $45. We threw it away after signup so I don't have the code but if you're in the age range it might be on its way.

Strange I don't see that AARP offer on my Chase card. It figures.

Signed up with capital one. I see the capital card has to be used to receive the credit, so no stacking with chase.

Yes, the deal has stacked before. I did this last year when Capital One offered $30 cashback and I received the credit for both Capital One and my credit card cash back offer of $8.
