Picked it up the 65" for $700 from Amazon back in September and for $650 it's probably the best 120hz tv to use with the ps5. The only spot in my living room is right next to a window and it's still able to perform very well throughout the day. The only issues I've had with it is that the tv input selection might have a bit of a delay (~3s) when you press the button, but nothing super unresponsive. However I can't speak on how good the built in software or speakers are since I have used it with an Apple TV and Samsung sound bar instead.
Cant deal with companies that have absolutely no regard for customers. Neither tcl or roku seem to care about their tv's and software bootlooping. Well over 2 months and no response from either company. https://imgur.com/a/9H3neFY

If it's the same price, I would go with Hisense. Otherwise, I'd go with the cheaper option if it was at least 100+ cheaper. I own a TCL R646 and a Hisense U8G, they are both fantastic TVs for the price.

My only reservation with the 75" U7K and U8K are their IPS panels, versus the other sizes being VA.

Where did you locate this information? 65" is a VA panel?

My TLC 6 series 55R615 broke after almost 5 years. I replaced it with a Q7. It looks much nicer, and at $650 for the 65" it's almost the same price I purchased my 55" for at $600.

I need an IPS panel so I'm looking into the 75" Hisense U7K. Seems like a great deal to me at $899 at Costco. Do I really need it though, lol.

How does Costco handle returns on TV's that are purchased online? Will they pick the item up if I decide to return it? Not sure I want to return a 75" TV to the store if this doesn't work out, lol.

What happened with the upscaling on TCL's recent televisions? Their TV's used to handle 480p content really well, but now all of their TV's get terrible ratings on rtings when it comes to upscaling. Since that's important to me, I can no longer support them. I was going to grab a 65" QM8 for $643, however the upscaling is disastrous on that set.

I want to know the same thing. If the 65" is an IPS and RGB panel, I'm gonna pull the trigger on this.

Rtings reviewed the 65"... revealing that it's a VA panel with a BGR subpixel layout.

Got the 65" a few weeks ago. Picture is nice and has pretty high brightness. Suggest playing around with the calibration settings but that's personal preference. It has both chromecast and air play, which is nice

TCL's have never really been that great at upscaling compared to the Big 3, and Rtings has admitted that they never had good upscaling testing methods:

" Overall, it's clear that our combination of 480p, 720p, and 1080p upscaling boxes simply aren't very helpful. Our scores weren't testing image processing, they only looked at if a TV could scale an image properly, not if it could scale the image properly and look good. So if you're a user looking for a TV to watch cable or a DVD collection, which TV delivers the best experience? Those existing results can't help you at all."

It's only with Rtings' latest v1.11 test bench methodology that they're actually revealing short-comings in the area of upscaling. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/changelogs/1-11

Had to swap board earlier this year on hisense. These cheap chinese brands esp black friday tvs are going to have issues. Was rather easy to swap board was out $50
