My Amex offer was $120 off $600 purchase. Bought two, bringing the cart total to $602 after taxes. After stacking an 10% online portal referral and 3% Amex cash back, that brings it down to less than $200/monitor for me. Finally replacing my 11 year old monitors that got me through grad school. Thanks!!!!!
If you're running windows or Mac, they both have night shift mode that dims at night time automatically for you when enabled. I also use f.lux and it does the same thing.

I would think if you don't game, you wouldn't need anything higher than 75-100hz.
For this monitor, do the <4k resolutions have higher refresh rate options, or is it 60 across the board?

Monoprice monitor that's expired was $150...That was a steal. $200 at Monoprice.com

Also, what is the LG equivalent of the S2722QC?

Pretty sure flux doesn't control brightness just the color temp.

Bought the S2722QC. Thanks. However see lots of comments mentioned that it has problem with MacBook Pro. Anyone has experience with this monitor with M1 Pro?
Thanks.
No issues with a m1 pro or m2 mini.

Is 4k really any better than 1440p for office work? I end up scaling everything larger in windows like 140% while using 1440p currently.

Thinking about buying two of these. I'm a software developer who reads quite a bit online, and according to rtings.com, it scored an outstanding 9.5 in text clarity. Just wish it were 75Hz or higher.

I had exactly the same issue on the S2722Q I got last year with my M1 macbook:

Plus one side of the panel has been getting darker than the other side after a couple days. Had to return it unfortunately

I bought 2 of these in August.
I sit in a bright environment, and their brightness is good to compensate. However, with this high brightness it is tough in the evening, changing brightness manually daily is not an ideal solution.
With lower brightness glare is high
Are you using the monitor's buttons to adjust brightness? If so, have you tried using Dells Display Manager app? You can change brightness/color/sharpness..etc

I don't have this monitor but can chime in. One reason you see people complaining about this monitor not playing well with Mac is the dpi (which if I remember is about 130, or is it 160?) Mac OS is designed assuming monitors have a 220dpi for retina. For non retina, the preferred resolution is 110dpi in a monitor. If you try to use a 130ppi monitor the fonts would be too small without scaling. But then if you scale to adjust the font size, there is a somewhat performance penalty (though that concern is very overblown) but more importantly you may observe some weird artifacting on the screen once in a while(if you are particular about these things like shimmering, etc).
good info
Waiting for 5k monitor that does not cost more than a grand
