Got this set in 2015 and still going strong… run them through the dishwasher constantly with no rust/issues. The only time one of the steak knives got a small rust spot was when it was left in a wet sink full of dishes for a few days. The built in sharpener is not much use but any decent sharpener should do the trick. The scissors held up great until very recently and can't seem to get a good edge on them now. When I bought the set it was on sale for slightly less the this deal, but that was in 2015, so all things considered its a great set for the price imo.

All knives and bladed instruments should be hand washed only tbh

I don't know anything about this brand. Great deals on full block sets come maybe 2x a year on SD so I'm curious if anyone wants to share their experience with these knives.

They make great cheap knives. I have some wood handle steak knives that are ugly and don't hold an edge especially well, but they sharpen up great and people like the upswept blade. For the price they hold their own.

I'm not sure if they can make a great expensive knife, though. For $85 you could get a Fibrox chef and paring knife, those steak knives and still have a few bucks to put towards a boning knife.

Several comments mentioned hand wash only. Rust and other things noted from comments.

So what you are saying is. There is at least a chance it's quality knife steel?

I've also had these for about 5 years now, no rust whatsoever, even when we accidentally put them into the dishwasher. I'll say the sharpener is woefully bad, and the knifes themselves don't hold an edge well. However they're well constructed and for the price they're freakin great looking. I recommend them, along with a good sharpening stone.

I am definitely looking for a replacement set of cooking knives. I have had my Chicago Cutlery set for about 4 years, and it has taken a beating. It's time for a new set that is a pretty good deal if I can get it when it drops.

I feel like hand washing is the rule for any knife you want to keep in good shape

I inherited this set in a move over 5 years ago. Absolutely worth the money. They go in the dishwasher constantly and I treat them like garbage. No rust or visible tarnish.

The handles are partially hollow. One of the set recently developed a piece that rattles on the inside. Doesn't impact usage but it is annoying.

I would not bother with these if you don't have an automatic sharpener or the patience to sharpen them by hand. the knives we use get sharpened ever other month or so.

also note the steak knives are NOT serrated. they're like pairing knives and we use them to cut stuff all the time. good for little hands.
