I was looking at an alienware desktop with worse specs but for the same price. I dont think id care that much about thunderbolt ports tbh. Very tempted
I refuse to purchase one until I can have two Thunderbolt 4 ports for this price point. Lenovo has great hardware and sales at times, but they've skimped out on the Thunderbolt ports this generation unless you're paying 3k for the device.
I bit. THANK YOU Dr Wajahat (and Suryasis) for posting all these laptop deals.
Certified refurb w/ 2 yr warranty, seller paying return shipping with no restocking fee is huge. Hopefully the ssd is a single 2TB drive. If it's 2x 1TB I'll be sending this back.
Was hoping for a deal direct from Lenovo so I could spec Windows 11 Pro, but nbd. Was more disappointed I missed out on the rtx 4090 refurb deal, but for a $368 savings (and tax) this should be solid for at least the next ~3-4 years of gaming @ high settings & 60 fps (even if I have to output to my 27" 1080p gaming monitor lol).
The hardest thing to anticipate will be the demands of future UE5 titles, and how current gaming laptops will compare versus the 2024 models with AMD x3d chips. I really wanted to hold out for a mobile 7800x3d equivalent, but that could be q2 or maybe even Fall. Plus those will be $$$ if the Asus rog strix scar 17 x3d is any indication. $4,000 gaming laptops? I'd rather build a kickass desktop rtx 4090 system AND a buy Steam Deck/Switch/Ally/etc.

Well I rolled the dice as some may say but at this price and features I had to do it. I don't feel bad about it since free returns as well as 2 yr warranty included. I don't know what warranty new laptops have but every time I buy from any where they are trying to sell me a warranty on a new product. I'm here thinking I paid a premium and I won't get a warranty included and if you buy it I have to remember to register it. Why isn't it already done? When I paid for the service ahh yes they want free money in case you forget fingers crossed. Well I think it's good thanks op much appreciated. if a better deal shows up just return and grab the other I guess, but waiting for maybe a better deal, that's what I consider rolling the dice.
