FYI in my area this deal it showing up at $59.48.

I picked one of these up two weeks ago for about a buck less along with the drill combo. It's shockingly good for small limbs, bushes, etc. Things I can use large loppers or a small gas chainsaw, but this is small enough I can easily run it single handed and hold the bush/limb/etc in the other hand. My elderly mom was able to use it to clear a ton of brush too. It's pretty solid.

The price for it is good, but running a chainsaw without any oil is detrimental to its life in the long run. The absence of lubricant overheats the machine!

It has a very high "fan" like blowing action inside that seems to air cool it. Of course if you are using it in hot weather just like a VW Beatle you'll need to be careful I'm sure. But I dont expect to need to use this in 105 degree heat very long.

I use an oil can to lube it with the same Stihl biodegradable bar oil I run in my other chainsaws. Seems prudent to me.

Bought this specifically for camping. Small and awesome. Cut off some larger tree limbs in my driveway. Batteries last a long time with it surprisingly. Says it's oil free in the description but I'm gonna oil it for sure. Anybody know if you could use like a dry spray oil as a lubricant?

Much experience with hurricane clean up here, I actually preferred a simple reciprocating saw over pole saw (same blade/size as this) for pretty much all limb cutting within reach. Much faster cut, cleaner less debris too

In Harrisburg PA It shows $149, tool only. I'm guessing OP got some sort of a package deal at HD bringing it down to the $99 range and then returning the batteries to get to $50.36?

The small saw is great. I got it after launch and did a lot of work with it this summer, trimming up trees in a bucket lift. I do lubricate it with chain saw oil though, before use and during use. I did exchange mine under 30d, due to it being extremely loud under a bit of load, compared to the other electric chainsaws from Ryobi that are nearly totally quiet. I have not really used the replacement yet, hopefully it remains quiet.

Completely unable to replicate the deal. The saw is featured as part of the current Ryobi event, and that's all I saw before and still see.
