The typing on these is pretty nice, but the insert - pgdn island being offset by one row (so that insert is where delete should be and pgup is where pgdn should be) is pretty annoying, and since I'm constantly switching between outputs, it's a little more fiddly having to change the target and machine type via the knob and menus. I'd get (one or two of) the 8BitDo keyboards (I'm typing on the Fami version now) and call it a day... love the typing feel, love the massive clickiness, and of course the aesthetics. Only things I knock it for are the lack of media keys and MacOS software, but the dedicated volume knob is nice and at least partially offsets that.

Damn, I want both of the 8BitDo retro keyboards and now I want this too, and I have enough keyboards already. What do I do? I guess I could adopt some foster children and pretend I'm getting them presents...

I'm having a hard time deciding between the SNES and Fami versions. The SNES hits me with more nostalgia, because I'm American, but I like the Fami look from a purely aesthetic standpoint.
Perhaps you could program the A & B buttons to be play and pause. What do you have them set as now?

As far as I know, there's no way to program them to act as media keys without the software, but I was able to do it by connecting it to a Windows machine and using their Ultimate Software -- the profile carried over when I switched it back to the Mac.

Now I have the B key set to previous track and A set to next track, with the big B button on play/pause and the big A on mute. If you wanted to go crazy, it has inputs for four sets of big buttons that you could hook up!

Can't help you on NES vs. Famicom. I got them both. Big Grin

Get both. Debating will only delay in shipping and chance of missing out on a deal.

Is there an SNES version? I'm only seeing NES and Famicon.
I like both NES and Famicon colors (NES more nostalgia) but I think the SNES colors are way better than the super Famicon.
Anyway, I might get NES one.

You're correct. I was getting it wrong. There is no SNES one. I forgot about the purple on SNES and red on NES.
