Plus side: a 77'' G3 is a TV you'd want to buy at this price. I bought my G2 for $2600 off NewEgg in May and it's well worth every penny spent.

Down side: few will get this statistically without having to lean on someone's credentials.

This is a slick deal for military-affiliated personnel. Pure teaser for everyone else.

Thanks OP, pulled the trigger on this one.

The order status has been "Processing" for ~4 hours, is this normal for this site? I'm a vet and use AAFES, this is my first time purchasing from Navy Exchange.

This is a fantastic deal if you have access to the Navy Exchange. I almost bought the Samsung S90C yesterday for $2k through EPP, plus tax. Glad I held off.

Yup.. S95C equal G3, S90C brighter than C3. Essentially, is G3 worth $800 more than S90C? It's a personal choice.. no clear winner.

I placed an order. Got conformation email. Hopefully it works out and is delivered. Wife doesnt understand how a TV can cost that much. I had let her know I was planning on spending some extra money I had saved up for an expensive TV and debating between the C3 and if the G3 was worth the extra cost.

For non Navy peeps, I just scored the 77" G3 from Emerald Appendage for $3169 total including tax/shipping. If you live in the eastern USA you can probably get it for $2999 or so.
