FWIW... I got this at this price a month ago on the same deal and connected with HDMI. First soundbar I've ever tried and thought even if on the low end, it must be better then the speakers on the TV. But my TV's speakers are much more clear then this soundbar. Nor does the TV send any surround signals/settings. This soundbar sounds very muddy and the volume has to be turned up almost to the max to hear clearly. This is coming from a JBL fan who owns many other JBL speakers and headphones. Sadly I've returned it.

This Soundbar sucks. I bought it last month for this price and just sent it back.

It sounded about as expected, not much better than the TV speakers.
I sent it back because it would sometimes lock up requiring me to unplug it. When I used mute, it would glitch the TV screen off for a millisecond and not actually mute the audio.

replaced it with that Samsung for $150 a few days ago and couldn't be happier.

I got this last time. Seems to work ok. I don't have anything to compare it to. I had the wrong kind of HDMI so I had to use an optical cable, which I have heard is not as good.

I bought one of these last deal and ended up returning it. Sound was kind of tinny and unbalanced, even after tinkering with the sound settings. Wasn't much of an improvement over the TV speakers.

Also bought this last month and it's about what you can expect for the price. It does boost bass a bit but voice clarity suffers a bit for it. Probably an equalizer issue but it's just an ok upgrade. Ours is used for the bedroom so we don't need a theater experience and works fine for our setup. I wouldn't have paid much more for a bar so it's fine for us.

I've owned one of these for over a year now and it's ok at best. I think some of the random Chinese brand options with good reviews on Amazon are better for the price. It also turns off automatically if it doesn't detect sound input for a few minutes. If you're using this while connected to a computer, it means that you'll have to either keep some sound utilizing app open at all times or have active input to keep the bar on. Otherwise, you have to keep turning it back on and it has a loud "duh-dun" sound when it turns on that you can't disable.

I picked this soundbar up through Woot in August and have thoroughly enjoyed it. At this price point it's worth being a single-point speaker upgrade for your TV even if I never intend to use it as a Bluetooth speaker. At roughly 30% volume we're getting enough sound to start filling the room but not enough to panic the pets.

I picked up a short optical cable to connect to the TV so I can't speak to it's HDMI ARC capabilities.

I had the same experience and also did the return on this JBL Bar 2.0. I felt like these weren't that much improvement over my built in LG C2 speakers.

I ordered one of those refurbished Samsung HW-Q7CB deals posted around the same time for around $111. The improvement in sound is significant. There's also significantly more bass (helps that there's a subwoofer) It is a lot bigger than the JBL Bar though.
