I have a monthly premium subscription that is no longer on the 7.95 promo rate and it says this:

Audible is the worst at its subscriptions and pricing. If I see a deal now, but still have 2 months on my annual plan, I lose those 2 months and the 12 month clock starts today if I try yo get the current deal. It's stupid, ridiculous, and downright shady business practice!
Same goes for their 3 month/3 credit gift cards. If I add one to my account, it doesn't extend my time by 3 months, it only gives me 3 credits. Again, not as advertised on the gift card and deceptive business practices!
What I've found I can do is instead of paying $149 at renewal, I will go to cancel and get offered the 3 months for $7.95/month. I take that for 3 months, then near the end of that, I go to cancel again and I get the $99.50 for 1 year offer.

I got this error message as well. Anybody have any idea?
I have a discounted $7.95 for 3 months premium subscription. I do not qualify :-/
I'm not sure how I'm eligible since this is supposedly only for people with a currently active monthly membership. My most recent Audible membership started 9/26/23 when they offered 1 month and 2 book credits free to all Prime members. I cancelled this after picking my two books on 10/23, and I've confirmed I do not have a currently active membership.
I'm not 100% I'll grab it though. I have a huge backlog and I'm also eligible for the limited time offer of 5.95/month for 4 months.
I might do that just to lessen the immediate hit to my wallet and lessen the amount of audiobooks added to my hoard
I was not able to get the 75 dollar deal, so I settled for next best which was 85 dollars with 3 extra credits. Seemed worthwhile to me. Thank you for this post or else I would've been paying 15 dollars a month for one credit each month.
I chatted with Audible and attempted to get in on this deal.
I had cancelled my subscription last year because they said that they no longer offered the 'Discount Audible Premium Plus Annual—12 Credits for $99' that I had been doing for several years. I tried a couple of times during the year to see if they were offering it again to no avail.
Today the agent said that I could not get in on the $75 deal since I was not a current subscriber.
He did say that I could get ... wait for it ... the 'Discount Audible Premium Plus Annual—12 Credits for $99'.
I signed up and am good to go for another 12 months.
Thanks for the post OP.
Edit: My sister and I have truly enjoyed Audible. Luckily, we share a similar taste in books and I share my account with her. I have 100s of books that we have listened to.

That's an amazing deal. Without specifically asking for this plan, I attempted to get it from the Chat agent, but it did not work. It sounds like they can only offer whatever offers are currently available on the account (not all of which we can see, apparently). I was offered "Discounted Audible Premium Plus Annual—12 Credits for $99" and opted to wait to see what happens closer to Black Friday.

Edit: Nope. When I click through, I get that stupid poem as well.
