I'm a Civ 6 player and am looking for more of a computing machine than a graphics-intense machine. I have always been a Mac person but the MBA I have now won't play this and don't want to pay Mac prices to play this game.

Is this the type of machine that would work for Civ6? I see so many laptops on sale and I get confused by different PC specs.

It's slim. But it is no LG Gram. This one weighs 4.17lbs. LG is close to half its weight.

Any decent laptop under $400, touchscreen and 2-in-1 is a bonus, but not necessary. Got an Ebay refurbished Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i, 8gb 256 ram. The item is basically brand new as far as condition, is beautiful (albeit a bit heaby) and has a 2 year warranty with Ebay. However, it has trouble running things that work on my 4gb ram chromebook. I don't know anything about computers ss far as specs go, but I'm not doing any heavy lifting so I'm confused. Any help would be appreciated.

Civ 5 and 6 do a lot better with discrete GPUs. Check out the other SlickDeals on gaming laptops. Yeah, it seems like Civ shouldn't require a gaming machine since it's not like a AAA FPS, but the detailed graphics on the map at higher settings and poor optimization require considerable graphics processing power.
