I actually use 3 system approach, X1C for work, P1 for personal workstation use and Gram 17 for general use and browsing. Yeah, going large on Gram is the only way to go, the weight/size is amazing.

I am also in same boat, and yesterday i saw both items in person at Costco and BestBuy, i see LG gram is overhyped. May be older generations of LG gram were good it seems.

That's a big problem, and an incurable defect. Offsets much of the weight and form factor if you have to keep it plugged in.

What's causing this compared to other X1 carbons - is it the particular GPU?
