Lg gram for large screen, otherwise this one. I have x1 nano, it is perfect

I actually use 3 system approach, X1C for work, P1 for personal workstation use and Gram 17 for general use and browsing. Yeah, going large on Gram is the only way to go, the weight/size is amazing.

How is the screen cover or back. Is it rigid? I pack a bunch of stuff with my current laptop bag and always have keyboard imprints on my screen.

I am also in same boat, and yesterday i saw both items in person at Costco and BestBuy, i see LG gram is overhyped. May be older generations of LG gram were good it seems.

That's a big problem, and an incurable defect. Offsets much of the weight and form factor if you have to keep it plugged in.

What's causing this compared to other X1 carbons - is it the particular GPU?

The souped up "P" processors and the higher resolution screens that aren't "low power" are the worst culprits.

My X1 Carbon Gen 4 goes for 10+ hours, and I love it, but I need a more modern processor and am hoping one of the lower-powered Gen 10 or 11s will have acceptable battery life
