The throwback part is the fact that they are magnetically shielded so your crt monitor won't bug out on you. I would imagine there are youngsters out there that never had the scare of temporarily magnetizing their expensive monitor and freaking out LOL.

Not related to this particular speaker at all.
But I am still using Logitech Z-680 5.1 THX speakers purchased in January 2004. They work perfectly. I can't believe it. No need to upgrade to anything else since then.
