$70 for smaller stereo speakers with no sub doesn't sound like that great of a deal. The real price most places is $99.
Seems like a Logitech Z313 for $60 or a Z333 for $100 is comparable value available every day. To those that don't understand that the subwoofer really is more like a midrange that fills in for the missing frequencies on a 2" driver, you'd still be monumentally better off with pair of Edifier MR4s.
No sub is fine, but I wouldn't recommend anything with less than a 4-5" woofers without a sub to fill in. A small sub might be less than a 10 inch cube, and it can be hidden underneath a desk and still contribute somewhat. I just set my stapler on top of the little sub at one of my offices.

And for the stereo naysayers, i was tired of my 5.1 PC setup taking up so much space around the room. The sub's footprint and volume alone was larger than my PC case. I also realized i mainly use my headset and the speakers were mainly for music when i wasn't gaming.
