I bought the Princess Peach version of this for my wife, it's concerningly light and cheap feeling. Wish I didn't buy.
Well for what it's worth my 20-year-old GameCube controllers that got a lot of use over the years don't exhibit drift, so it's not that simplistic of a thing. Granted nothing lasts forever but just how long it does is a factor and consideration and how well designed and constructed it is can play a huge role in that, even without something like hall-effect analog sticks.
Assuming good deal if you're okay without rumble?

It is funny, I don't mind the lack of rumble, I miss the weight of the rumblers while holding controller.

Any one know how this compares functionally to pro controller?

3.5 stars on Amazon. Even at $35 I wouldn't buy. Looks like it'll drift eventually.

All "standard analog" controllers will drift eventually over time with useโ€ฆ

Edit: "standard analog"

Will this work with a PC that has Bluetooth?

It should. I think this looks really nice and would probably pick one up for $35 if I didn't already have too many controllers. However it's always baffling to me how the officially licensed third party controllers don't have rumble nor do they display their battery level on the Switch but basically any random third party controller I find on Amazon has both of those things.

Buy the amazon warranty if you play a lot and it will drift in 1-2 years, you will get your money back and the warranty is what, like $3-5, at least it was the last time I bought one.

Controllers with Hall sticks will not develop drift overtime. Gulikit KingKong 2 Pro for example.

Ironically, Valve apparently commented to LTT recently that they skipped hall sensors on their Deck refresh because they're not reliable enough

Yeah that sounded kinda like cost cutting from Valve when LTT mentioned it in their very detailed OLED Steam Deck review..

It's off topic but if you or anyone has thoughts on the OLED Deck vs the new Legion Go I'd welcome the input: I only own an OLED Switch and I'm shopping for a new handheld since I finished ToTK and don't want to play any other Switch games.

The big difference between Steam Deck and Legion Go/ other new handhelds is performance. The Steam Deck is starting to show it's age with heavy AAA games only being able to stay at 30fps and still getting occasional drops. However it does excel at older titles and can still play new games. The newer handhelds are using the latest chips from AMD and it does show some serious performance gains. I would estimate 30-50% more FPS with the newest chips (Z1 Extreme & 7840u).

Edit: The operating system does make a difference too. Steam Deck is running on pretty polished software that makes the handheld experience great but it is running Linux so there is the occasional game that has minor issues or some games with Anti-cheat can simply not be allowed to play at all (Destiny 2). Some anti-cheat games will work but it's up to the developer to allow it. Windows is on the newer handhelds and it isn't a great handheld experience but its getting better and with Windows, you never have to worry about compatibility. Windows can be installed on the Steam Deck and there are guides on that if you want to go that route.
