They can, but you can also do it yourself with many vehicles. For mine, you enter the retrain mode with some brake pedal and on/off switching of the key shenanigans. Once entered, the mode tells you to go around the vehicle in order to bleed a little air for each tire until the system picks up the pressure change and learns the position of that sensor.

I have one of these and used it on a 2009 Corvette and it worked great. The shop that changed my TPMS out was small and didn't have one.

My 2016 Yukon XL thanks you. I've got two tires that say they're at like 26 PSI when I've checked it multiple times and they're at 35. Thanks for this; had no idea I could get one this cheap. I honestly would've purchased one at full price since it's only like $6, but $2.10 is a no-brainer. Coupon worked for me and it has 1-day shipping to me here in the Midwest. Thanks for posting!
