Agreed. 3M Super 33 or 33+ is the one to use if you want the wrap to last.

However, if you're just making a >temporary< connection or repair, this isn't a poor choice.

Meaning in a years time, it will either be hard and brittle or stretchy and gooey ..... as a former car audio installer...just stick with 3M

To save money, you can get the Scotch brand "700" instead. It's cheaper and also uses 3M adhesive. 3M owns Scotch. Not quite as heavy duty (thick) as 33, but still very good quality.

When wrapping it around something, do not stretch the tape so it tears. The final 2-3 wraps should not be stretched and then cut it with a knife or something sharp.

I was a professional car audio installer for 10 years. I would never use this stuff. Compared to good electrical tape (3M Super 33), this is absolute garbage. We're talking about a price difference of a few dollars. Don't cheap out on this stuff, or you will regret it down the road.

If you or your kid plays Hockey, buy this. It's way cheaper than that overpriced so-called Hockey Tape.

That's what I use this for. Works great. Not stick tape, of course, but a replacement for clear.
