Beware with Nanoleaf products and HomeKit.

I've had their original light panels for many many years and they've been extremely reliable.

However, I've had great difficulty with their essentials/Matter products. One bulb continued to disconnect and they had to replace it...I also just recieved the holiday string lights and they are having some trouble staying connected. It's only been a few days though

Do you have Apple HomePod Minis in the house? Only stable way I could keep Nanoleaf devices connected is with the Thread router(s) built into HomePods.

Nanoleaf quality is terrible for the price, even on sale. Go with literally any other company.

I've been looking at the Nanoleaf 4D - TV Sync Camera and Smart Addressable Gradient Lightstrip Kit as an alternative to the other brands out there and have seen some good reviews on YT as compared to the other brands. But of course, they can't speak to the reliability unless they have used them for an extended time, which most haven't.

Should I stay away?

Agree. My shapes are great but the essentials bulbs have been extremely frustrating from the start. They went through a season of working fine but over the last few weeks, it's been nothing but headaches. Waiting for Hue color bulbs to go on sale somewhere so I can drop the Nanoleaf bulbs
