I have the 75 R635. Stay far far away. Horrible motion, buggy software, awful DSE. Will never buy TCL again. Like others have said no 2.1 HDMI but will do 120hz at 1440p.

I'm on the fence between this or the LG B3 55" OLED for the same price. 1k or so is my budget, and I was leaning toward OLED initially, but would consider an LCD for the larger size if the image quality is comparable.

Would anyone who owns either care to share their perspective, or knowledge of these two in comparison?
How far are you away from the TV? 55" is pretty small these days for something other than a bedroom. Do you need a really wide viewing angle? If not I'd probably get the bigger TV that is still a pretty good quality in the Sony 65"

This or return the 75 inch x90k from Walmart I got for 998?
How far away are you? This is somewhat better but that is bigger and still pretty good so I'd prob keep it.

2 of the warehouses in my area don't carry anything larger than 65".

This vs Hisense U8K for $899 at Amazon? Any thoughts? Looking for a TV in a bright room.

Sony all day. The picture quality and HDR performance is much better. Hisense has better specs on paper, but just watch any reviews and it's night and day.

I'm a Sony loyalist, of all the consumer electronics I've purchased over the past decades, LG is by far the worst reliability followed by Samsung (same with their appliances). I have Sony electronics that are 30 years old and working perfectly. My parents bought a higher end LG TV 10 years ago that had such a poor soldering job on the main board that there are countless videos on YouTube explaining how to put the mainboard of LG TVs in the oven for 10 minutes to reflow the solder and it fixed it temporarily. That is such shoddy manufacturing.

With that said, this is the exact TV I want but I know it will be like $799 in 11 months....

Over thethe air 4k Tuner, 10 Bit Panel, HDMI 2.1, Near perfect color, and 5 free Bravia Core movies.
Not 5. That's Best Buy. Also, only 1-year of streaming.

At Costco, you get...2 yr. Bravia Core Streaming + 15 Movie Credits

Same price in the store. I'm watching this for it to go down as well. I talked to a Costco person who said this is their best TV. That isn't OLED. She said she thought it would go down in price through black Friday. Keep an eye out.

X90CL is 2023 and is a faster and better picture than the 2022 X90K.

Take a look at this comparison. Sounds like the L is nice step up from the K. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-x90k-x90ck-vs-sony-x90l-x90cl/31221/39008?usage=1&thres... [rtings.com]
Don't put to much stock in RTINGS, I love them, but there tests don't necessarily translate to the real world.. useful for comparisons in technical abilities.

The bigger screen.. almost always. It is the most substantial upgrade you can make in terms of features. You won't be disappointed in the x90j, it's exactly. Last year I was torn between a higher end 75" x90j and the 85" x85j I ended up keeping....the bigger screen is so much more immersive. In absolute terms the x75 was better subjectively, but the x85j was almost just as good and we just fell in love with the larger screen. If you read other home theater stuff they'll concur with this opinion.

The 10" is substantially larger due to how dimensions work as you go wider. I'd take the Sony over the OLED all day long because that's exactly what I did...only in my case I went with an 85" x85J over a 75" higher end x90j and or 77" OLED. Depends on your room too and what's going to be best for you, but you'll never regret the extra immersion...I have always regretted the smaller screen in prior purchases.
