Minisforum is offering EliteMini UM780M Mini PC Barebone [minisforum.com] with Oculink Port @ $479 with F/SODIMM

Other Configurations:
Note: Barebone does not come with Windows 11. Only the versions with Ram and SSD come with Windows 11 preinstalled.

This model is the upgraded one with the below features:
  • Upgrade Colling, supporting up to 70W TDP for the CPU
  • Up to 96GB Ram support using 48GB DDR5 SODIMM Modules
  • Magnetic Cover with RGB backlight and replacable Backlighting
  • Oculink Port which can be used using a M.2 2280 to Oculink Adapter. Oculink can utilize the full bandwidth of PCIe Gen 4 Speed, over Thunderbolt 3/4 which are restricted to PCIe Gen 3 speed and capable of providing 64 Gbps bandwidth, twice than that of Thunderbolt 3/4 32 Gbps (8GBps in Thunderbolt is reserved for Dsiplay Signal and 32 Gbps is available for Data). In this case, one of the PCIe Gen 4x4 2280 Slots need to be used. The M.2 to OCuLink Adapter is included in the Box.
  • This model uses a new small form factor GaN based 120W Power Adapter.

Same thought here but the issue is 7840HS or 7940HS does not come with that many PCIE GEN4 Lanes for an extra Oculink port. It has 20 lanes, 8 is dedicated for 2 pcie gen4 m.2 slots, another 8 for 2 usb4 ports and rest of the 4 are being used for ether et ports, network port and other peripherals. May be on future, one of the USB4 PORTS can be removed for an dedicated Oculink port.

That's why this uses one of the NVME slots for Oculink. You could do the same with the SER 7 using an Oculink NVME adapter but it'd be way less elegant.
