No, not faster. Not even really slimmer. Wouldn't trade a perfectly good PS5 for a slim for any reason. The "upgraded" Pro model is rumored for 2024.

Not bad, but I don't necessarily see the slim as an upgrade over the OG unless you really want that MW3 code at a good discount. I might do something like this when/if a PS5 Pro comes along though.

Well, then next year the trade in value of a Slim PS5 might be higher than an OG PS5, so trading in now allows you to maintain value potential.

The trade-in credit of your old console will work towards any console bundle they have. If I had an original PS5, I would 100% consider this deal to upgrade your console to a brand new one. My son's PS5 was making all sorts of noises and ran hot as hell, this is even after cleaning it out. Traded it in for a new PS5 console with the Spiderman 2 bundle (which is a game he wanted). I'll take a brand new console with warranty plus new controller and Spider Man 2 game over whatever is going on with his current PS5 with no warranty for less than $100 out of my pocket any day of the week.
