I bought this computer from EBay Buyrefurbishedus. It arrived the next, but that was NJ to DE. The computer looks new. Runs perfectly but I haven't really done anything yet except download Adobe Create Suite.
- Did the Lenovo Troubleshoot and Diagnose check. Everything checked out but 2 components not found RAID and Fan. I get the RAID, its not a gamers, but Fan? How is that not detected? I havent heard it yet, I dont think or its really quiet.
- comes with no bloatware which is nice but also no Lenovo diagnostics, support software which i dowloaded. I also updated the Bios.
- 2 yr All State warranty included - is this a legit warranty?
Very tempting but a some reviews noted poor battery performance and two others said that even when plugged in the battery will not charge and continue to drain under high loads. Anyone else experience this?
Ended up pulling the trigger, I don't think we'll see this price for the next 6 months at least, seems like an absolute steal at this price point, with best in class screen, cpu performance and speakers with a mediocre battery life and decent 3060-level 4050.

Soldered RAM, no ty.
100W seems underpowered for graphics card.
HDMI can't even support 4K at 60hz, which doesn't make sense unless it's a typo.
The problem with these compact laptops is they bottleneck on a cheap component in a couple years, which you can't ungrade, so you are left with an expensive chromebook.
If you are going to spend $1000, get something that will last.
I'm with you. No clue why they solder the RAM. And to cheapen out on the HDMI with ver1.4 makes zero sense. Lenovo website confirms 4K/30Hz
Has anybody used an All State warranty? If I bought this, could I trade it in after 2 years if the battery won't hold a charge?
This has better specs than I was looking for but is a little more than I was hoping to spend. I'm looking for a touch screen with good color, a decent graphics card, and mid range everything else for video, photos, design, light gaming and work stuff.
Thought it was actually an hdmi 2.0 and the description saying 4k30 was a typo, but it turns out it's actually hdmi 1.4b, which is the most ridiculous thin on this laptop, why would they use an almost 10-year old standard for hdmi on a laptop of this caliber?! Trying to cancel my order since this is the biggest deal breaker for me, gonna wait for a similar price on the 14 model.

The big deal is that we're in 2023 and this is the highest end Lenovo product in the market that starts at 1799 for a 4050 card. Hdmi 2.1 is the least. Also, for my use case, it's better for the video output to be connected directly to the dgpu, which apparently is not the case with the Thunderbolt connector(afaik, because I couldn't really find reliable confirmation for this online).

Embarrassing stuff for a so-called premium laptop. Pretty sure even my old $500 laptop from 2017 supports HDMI 2.0. Between that and the woeful battery life, I don't see who this laptop would even be targeted for

The 4060 model is the sweet spot but that is very competitive price despite a 4050.
If you can score a MacBook Pro 16 m1 for a similar price (Lowest equivalent I saw for $1350 + tax so far sadly), I would take the MacBook Pro any day.
But taking into account the price, this is tempting if you can get over the abysmal battery life
