Great deal. Cheapest I've seen on the 5. The 4 was $650 on tmo once but it went quickly. I ended up with an s22 ultra for $450.

Every phone that I've ever had over the past 23 years that folds or slides has died due to, or had malfunctions related to, mechanical failure after a couple of years. I wish I could tell Samsung that there's a 0% chance I'm buying one where the screen itself folds. Now if they made something with inexpensive addon screens that would magnetically attach to the side or something, I'd be all over that.

Here's the deals during preorder:

$637.49 for the Galaxy Z Fold5 512GB (Unlocked) SM-F946UZUEXAA from Samsung.

$11.11/mo with VZ for the same phone for 36 months + tax (~$120 for me) = ~$520 total.

Both required a trade in.

I went with VZ because they gave me full value for a Note10+. The samsung deal was better in that there was no 36 mo contract, but it required I trade in my S22 Ultra for the full credit.
