In the next gen they really need to add swipe controls for volume and in the software add better customization for the tap controls. Still rocking my mediocre Pixel Bud Pros because Sony can't get its act together.

I'd recommend the Bose Ultra earbuds over these if you want something premium, and obviously if you have an iPhone the AirPod Pro 2 is the only reasonable choice.

Bought these on secondipity/eBay for $200 refurb after my XM4s died a couple months ago. No regrets, but this is a killer deal. Big fan of these since the XM3s - great ANC, app, sound quality, and battery life.

To be fair, Samsung Buds had their issues as well.
My last ones made my ears go red and they refunded in full. It was a wide known issue with the materials

My bud tips got stuck in ear canal on numerous occasions. I sticky glue the tip permanently and never happened again

How are you so uneducated on simple things? This is objectively idiotic, and multipoint would be an easy idea of a way these are better than the Pros, especially if you knew the first thing about wireless audio.

I've had 2 pairs of Sony headphones replaced, with basically no questions asked...never uploaded a receipt, never confirmed a purchase, pretty sure they asked for the serial numbers and that was it. Sent in my old ones, got a brand new pair in the mail, twice. I'm in the USA, so can't say for anywhere else. Hope it's the same with my WH-1000XM5's, love them but I use them literally all day everyday, so just waiting for them to stop working, but they're still going strong.

They recently had to "buyback" mine because of a battery issue. One earbud would start at 100% and literally die after 1 - 1 1/2 hour. Coincidentally it happened after a recent update.

My XM4s were refurbished and died like this. Sony wouldn't help me because they were refurbished.

Pretty much this. Gf gave me the xm4 as a gift batteries wouldn't hold a charge. Charges them for 100% within 10 min battery at 20%. So I left them it's the case the next day they had popped opening up.

I loved my xm4's until suddenly the right side earbud went out with no reason to why. Ao disappointed only had it for 6 months. Fortunately i can return them to sony to get my money back. Ill get these as replacement as i have the AirPods and they suck for working out. I use my airpods only for talking on the phone.

I have 2 pairs of XM4 (both refurb deals) and use them exclusively for working out. Good sound, but one of the cases crapped out (LED no longer lighting up, and case not charging the headphones). SONY wouldn't honor the warranty as I bought these on Ebay, so had to buy a used replacement case. Use Airpods Pro 2 for everything else as they are more comfortable and less bulky for everyday use, and the sound quality and ANC are comparable

I am willing to bet refurbs of XM5 will be out there in a year or so for $99
