If anyone is wondering, this model does not have a brushless motor.

This thing is slightly compact than the regular model but vibrates like crazy.

I have the brushless version of this saw. Personally, I think the vibration is blown out of proportion, but ymmv. I'd definitely recommend the brushless version since reciprocating saws are already high drain tools. Been very happy with mine. It's pretty compact compared to the standard recip saws and saw blade can attach at 90 degrees too for getting into tight spots.

If you'll be using this for 3-4 hours straight or all day, get a big one with more weight and less vibration. If you use it for short intervals, like most people, the compact saw is great.

Thanks for the info. Not brushless is fine but I want a more compact one but not at the expense of vibration.

Edit: Just went to see the amazon reviews. It does have 4.8 rating out of 5 with over 10,000 reviews. The low ratings complained about no battery/charger and did see a few with vibration issue, I guess most people tolerated the vibration issue.

Funny was just using mine yesterday to get some low hanging tree limbs cleaned up. No issues cut through dam near everything like butter. Only notice the vibration when I tried sawing through a 4 or 5 iinch limb.

I got one these used on Facebook marketplace for $50 and sold it cause it was so anemic compared to my coworkers brushless version that's legit the same size but seemed 3x as powerful. Looks just like this saw but it's brushless

I have the Brushless version of this and it's substantially more compact than a full sized one which does come in handy IMO, but if I was doing demo all day I'd want the big straight flexvolt one. This will absolutely fit places that one won't though.

Fit in places? You use a sawzall for those situations

I like the XR line too. They have the atomic line now, which I do also like, but there's no sense having both kinds and my wife only needs one power tool that DeWalt doesn't even make

I have this. I like it better than the big one. However I wish I would've skipped this one and got the mini hacksaw.

This doesn't seem hard to understand. This "sawzall" fits in places the big one doesn't.
