I should buy this for my idiot roommates who help themselves to all of my good knives and then toss them in the sink to soak for days and then throw them in the dishwasher as an afterthought.

Not true. Had these for about 6 years now. Hand wash only and still going strong.

This is for when you're about to sell your house, and your higher quality knives are looking a little shabby and mismatched. Those go in the drawer and this set goes out for staging.

It's about drying correctly. It's a natural phenomenal, and you can remove the rust.

Have these from a previous deal here several years ago. Hand wash only. Otherwise you'll be a slave to rust removal.

Also, get yourself a good sharpening stone

At this price, I'll take my chances. Worth it if they look good through one dinner party.

I had this set, and the steak knifes are so dull out of the box that is was laughable. It'd be a little different if they were serrated so you weren't relying on the sharpness of the edge as much to cut, but these were pretty sad. I can agree with some of the rust comments as well. We were pretty careful with these knives and they still managed to get rust spots.

Got this set like 14 years ago. I can confirm the rusting issue. They're not pretty, but otherwise are holding up.

If these are stamped, I certainly wouldn't be advertising it.
