I was looking for other options to get the Panasonic Player 4k BluRay player DP-UB820-K for $347.99 as I missed out on the previous deal. (The price has been hovering previously around $400.) I found it popped up again, but now with multiple retailers too. All with free shipping.

You're comparing a game console to a dedicated 4K Blu-Ray player. The UB820 has the HDR Optimizer and a better processor. Moreover, you get Dolby Vision with it. Don't get me wrong, the PS5 is great for most people. But a lot of 4K Blu-Ray collectors are enthusiasts and want the absolute best picture quality they can get. That's where the UB820 comes in.

Abt is phenomenal. Live 10 miles from them and buy 90% of my large purchases from them if possible. If you have the chance, visit their mega complex in person. You will be amazed.

The price keeps getting lower. I bought it on the last front-page deal for $384. However, I used my Amex points for no charge on it with a 20% deal I had on my Amex!

I thought the same thing because of how good the PS3 was as a bluray player but no support for Dolby Vision is going to be a deal breaker for those who buy these blurays for the picture quality and that's probably a good chunk of people who still buy blurays.

That's fine for you but this is the good stuff with better build and features the PS5 doesn't have. Likely a better DAC for instance. Another thing, for me personally, I like to use my PS5 for games and my BDP for movies. Not wear out my PS5 with movies.

That just means you can't tell the difference. My sister will watch a tv show while it buffers at 240p at 12fps and says it looks perfect. This would be pointless for her.

If you can't tell, then don't worry about it. Your ps5 is perfectly fine.
