Lol I still remember buying a new 1070 for $346 from Slickdeals and that was less than a year from release.

I wonder if we're at that stage now

8GB is not cutting it for a card this price is 2023. Even my 6600XT suffers at 1080p in some games and requires dialing back texture quality etc to prevent hitching

You're paying a premium for DLSS 3.0 + FG I suppose. If I was in the market at this price range, and wanted new with warranty, I wouldn't buy a 3060 ti for $275 instead of this for $50-ish dollars more.

Frankly, all graphics cards are overpriced right now and nothing from the 40-series nor 7000 series is worth it's asking price for it's improvements from the last gen. That's why my 3080 is sitting pretty knowing it won't be replaced anytime soon..

If your 6600XT is struggling then it's very likely just the performance limitations of that card. You really don't need to have textures at max when playing at 1080p.

I was looking at the images on the Microcenter website and I was thinking the only "Spiderman" thing on it was the Spidey Symbol on one of the fans. What kind of half-effort collab was this?

Then I saw on the official ZOTAC site, there is a complete backplate. Microcenter really selling themselves short if they aren't even showing the custom backplate in their own storefront's product images.

After tax? I believe I got my Zotac 1070 amp for ~$380 in the August of the release year.

Nvm, I checked again and it was $365.30 on 10/12/2016. no taxes back then cause it was purchased online lol. Guess I was a bit off, not $340.

But 2 years later I bought the gtx 1070 overclocked for $306.45
