I was recently charged 149.79 for the annual Disney plus service with out ads. When I called customer service to cancel it based on the price increase, I was told I could add the Disney Plus basic to my already established Hulu Student account.

I assume you have to have the student account to get this to work. But if you do go into your account settings, there you will find a billings page with optional add-ons to your plan. Once you click that you will see an option to add Disney plus with ads to your Hulu account. NOTE: this can only be done thru your Hulu.com profile account and on Google chrome, not via the app or Disney website.

Total I am now being billed monthly is 4.27 for both streaming services vs the $9.99 monthly bundle price for the same services.

Dang I went to cancel to re up for the deal again but offering me 6 months for 2.99 hard to decide.

Not a good deal. I had Hulu & Disney plus ( both ad supported) for $4.99/month for a year now which is expiring this month. If there is no good BF deal this year, I would go with $2.99 ( after $7 cash back) deal using Amex. Just waiting to see what BF offers !

And don't forget to Cancel your $2 month Hulu plan from last year before it auto-renews at Full price.

Last year, signups went from Nov 20th to Nov.29th .

My D+ renewal is in 2 days and I canceled since it's doubled in price. I don't see this add on option in my Hulu student account though.

Can't confirm because have only been charged a month but I believe a similar thing is happening with the spotify student subscription with hulu we have. Had Disney plus and was gonna cancel anyway but then switched to bundle temporarily cause of a cc promo but only charged 2 dollars. We'll see if it happens again next month.

I think the Disney+ 2.99 deal with "NO-ADS" is not available anymore. If I cancel my current Hulu account for whatever Black Friday deal, I'll never get Disney+ adfree that cheap again

Guess I'll have to make sure to cancel it every 6 months now
