i originally had a limit of 5 in my post but i edited just in case it's not. kinda like the recent disney gc deal, there was only a limit of 2. this landing page might change.

.
The Costco ones usually have a limit of 2 when they go below $450 for $500. Wouldn't surprise me.

Beauty of southwest.

Cancel anytime
Funds never expire
Points never expire
No change fees
No bag fees up to 2 bags
No carry on fees

The only thing missing that would compliment the above is being able to add gc balance to my southwest acct and i never have to worry about the email with gc or balace on gc.

PSA: the trick to turn a gift card into flight credit certainly works (i.e., buy a flight then cancel it), but know that you can ONLY use that flight credit on yourself (and not your family, for example). Whereas if you leave it "gift card form" you can apply the funds to your entire reservation.

ETA: Sometimes it's transferable, but even then you can only transfer it once.

Anyone know if the plus membership 2% cash back at the end of the year applies to this deal? I don't have a membership so debating between the regular and plus membership.

Do the same trick with purchase and then cancel but with a fare that allows the credit to be transferred

I have some Southwest vouchers that will expire in 3 months. Can I also do the trick to buy some tickets and then cancel? In that case, do I get back credit points that don't expire?

So you would just have to put in multiple reservations for a family trip if over the 3x gift card limit ($1500 in this case) in one reservation?

What cobra meant to say is that you are allowed to use up to a maximum of three different methods of payment for one reservation.
