I love this thing. Only annoying part is it's not just normal HDMI, it has to use usbc out and I don't think adapters work. So like my Nintendo switch dock for example won't work with it. I had thought of using mine with a beelink n100 pc as a display for a server type of thing but the pc doesn't support USB c video (I don't think)
The other small issue is the sleeve it comes with is kind of bulky and it's like a thick felt. It doesn't have a zip to keep a small usb c cable. Not all usb c cables carry the video so you have to find one that works. I have a 6" braided which I find useful in terms of portability. I worry about the cable getting lost and screen getting scratched. I wish it had a flip cover thing like an iPad
Otherwise it's a fantastic device. I have had mine for years and LOVE it for travel. It's changed my setup. I carry that and a Logitech Mx keys mini and a travel mouse and have a legit 2 monitor productivity setup in a very small package
I got the touch version (refurbished) for $85 the other day from Ebay. My product arrived brand new. These are cool products in general.
I've been looking for a portable monitor for a while. Been eyeballing the "six-letter, all-caps, alphabet soup" monitors on Amazon. You know, the ones of dubious grandiose claims like HDR! and 600nits!.... Like everyone else, I know better. All you can really prove on them is physical size, refresh rate, aspect ratio, and resolution. Everything else is puffery.
I just got this Lenovo monitor. Why? The build quality, from reviews, is solid. People really like the base and overall construction. And it has USB-C power passthrough, which saves me a power brick.
Cons: I'm not impressed with the physical size of 14" (would've liked 16"). I'm also not impressed with the 16:9 aspect ratio @ 1920x1080 @ 60hz. In 2023, anything that's not 16:10 or 3:2 is pretty unacceptable.
But I'd rather take a scaled down, brick-outhouse version instead of a wildly inaccurate piece of flimsy junk. And the price is really fair at $100.
