Please consider a Roku or fire stick for $30. Smart tvs generally have bad UI and are slow for the smart functions. Even though this deal has a firetv inside you will probably have a better user experience with an add on device.

IMO buy a TV to display stuff. Buy a device to generate your content.

I'm an old guy, sitting about perhaps 7-8' away from my TV stand which will probably barely accommodate this TV, and I'm not particular about all the minute details/pixels/what-have-you. My present TV is a 37" Vizio, nigh unto 10 years old, and I need a smart TV for my nephew to hook-up to the internet. Any reason I should look elsewhere, please? Repped, OP.

I have 2 TCL Roku TVs and 1 TV with a Roku 4k Stick. I would recommend getting this TV and purchasing a Roku 4k Stick that's now on sale at all the big retailers for $29.99. All in for $130 and tax and you will have an excellent setup.

Thank you. I'm not picky as I remember when I had no TV (I just wish it was like decades ago when one just turned on the TV and selected a channel, alas). Too, I'm 77 and ain't no way I'm splurging big bucks on a TV that I don't even know how to operate without assistance.
