This has been rock solid for me for over a year now. Way better than orbi.

I paid the same price last black Friday for the 5300 (same model I believe).

Best router I ever owned. I am getting very good speed all around the house. No drop connections ever.

Only complaint is the app requires 2 bucks monthly for the additional features.

Going to buy this as a gift. Purchased from Costco basically when it came out to replace an ubiquiti amplifi hd system.

Don't think this has had to be restarted a single time, nothings ever randomly disconnected—about 25 items connected at all times. Practically full speed throughout the entire home.

Suggestion for those installing mesh systems without extra Ethernet ports throughout the house, go to fast . Com or another speed test site, after installing the base. Go as far as you can away in opposite directions while testing the speed to find the best places to put the mesh points. For me, I placed them in areas that had about 95% of the speed as being next to the main router. It reached significantly farther than I expected.

The 6ghz wireless back haul seems to be completely game changing.

return it. Hopefully you bought it from Costco. maybe then try with another unit. costco does have extended returns beyond 90 days.

Are you using these Decos for Wifi? These Decos and be set as router/wifi or WiFi AP.

I cant attest to the one you linked, but I am using a TPLink OMADA ER605 router and these TP Link Decos and have been very happy. .
I have had all kinds of issues with with the asus is why I want to try to buy this and return the other one with all the issues.

Had to return mine because it bricked after 20 days. Never went back to it . I think asus makes the better routers.

Wondering if anyone have has any thoughts on this.I have a 2200 square foot home. My basement I have my video game set up, main floor will have the modem and top floor is my office room. Will this provide good wifi support throughout the house. Only the modem and the basement and top floor will rely on wifi signals from main unit.

That's are amazingly solid devices. Only thing that sucks is the pedestrian content filtering and limitations.

It has a 2 year warranty from TP-Link. Here is the replacement process: https://www.tp-link.com/us/suppor...nty/#sec_c
I had do it and it was fairly hassle free for me.

IMO, unless you're having issues, best to wait for Wifi 7 routers to come down in price. The speed improvements are much larger than going from wifi 5 to 6e for example. If you're running a wireless backhaul I see no reason to go from wifi5 to wifi6e.

Have had this router for like a year and it's great, especially since TP-Link has updated the firmware and added a lot of missing features (such as an IoT network, and the ability to force clients to connect to a specific router). Wifi 6E speeds are blazing fast. You have to manage the network settings over an app which is a bit annoying.

So not a better deal than it has been multiple times over the past year. I was hoping for sub $250 for this thing for Black Friday.
It's $256 after 5%, which you can get via credit cards.

What is everyone's thoughts on this version vs the 6E version from Costco?

Now that the Nest wifi pro is fixed, are those a better deal?
