Lids are part of the container. One container with a lid is a piece. That is how it is in rest of the world.

It is the attitude of accepting lids to be counted separately as normal that is allowing manufacturers to add small items just to prop up the piece count - 5 screw drivers and 100 screws - 105 piece screw driver set. Some products have pieces of tape counted as a piece. Another one - 2 suitcases and 7 packing cubes as 9 piece luggage set.

I bought two packs of these last bf. I use them daily and they are still like new. They aren't great in the freezer, you can use them in the freezer, but your food will still get frost on them. For normal everyday use they hold up well and seal tight. Would recommend.

the 2 large pieces are very big. You could easily fit an entire rotisserie chicken in the big one without disassembling it. I use it for chili all the time and I still haven't stained it.

Maybe if you are after pure quantity. The bigger sizes are what I am looking to add, plenty of the little ones

I have the red set(s) - bought more than once. They wash well in the dishwasher until they don't. A few pieces have a white residue - which I assume is melted plastic. Ermm I started buying glass containers when I want to replace them. But then a container will fall out of an overpacked freezer and I remember why I keep buying these! The Amethyst color is nice! Smilie

This is a great set, I have 4 sets. The real benefit is in the biggest containers. I never use the small containers. Unfortunately the price has increased several dollars over the past few years, but hasn't everything. I won't be buying any more at this price.

I also bought 2 of these last year; I love purple and wanted to have an extra set. They ended up being incredibly helpful in packing individual foods in my husband's lunches. He has no microwave access so I didn't have to worry about hot plastics, and glass containers are too heavy to haul around. Plus we all now have our own colors - daughter red; daughter-in-law teal; mom amethyst, so we can keep them straight when leftovers are sent around. Highly recommend.

This deal seems to pop up every year. It is a good deal, I bought 3 last time. I use that shrink wrap "next to the moving boxes" to wrap anything I put in the freezer, definitely helps.

Facts they keep removing the big containers.For they first started offering these containers they came with 4 big ones.why can't you use the smaller containers for left over side dishes I use them for things like corn or for putting condiments in.

I bought these in 2020, 2021, and 2022 and they came with the same pieces all of those years.

The problems with the small containers is that a) they give you sooo many more than you could ever need to tack onto the piece count, b) I use tupperware to store homemade food whereas store-bought condiments come in their own containers, and c) I barely use condiments anyway
