Will someone, especially nintendo, remake metal gear solid twin snakes? It is my favorite mgs. Mgs1 storyline and game play with mgs2 graphics and camera. I can't stand mgs3 over top camera. The game play was also a wild departure for those that loved mgs2.
For me mgs2 style mgs will always be my favorite and twin snakes has it all.

I heard this port, whether on the Switch or PC, was really poorly done? Any info on it?
Most of the collection is just a direct port of the HD Collection from Xbox 360 and PS3. The HD Collection logo will even pop up now and then when loading. I think it runs fine on Nintendo Switch. I haven't run into any issues so far. There's not a load of extras, it's mostly just the games and that's it.
What I dislike the most is that there is almost nothing on the cartridge. If you want to play anything other than the MSX2 and NES games you'll have to download them. I think that really defeats the purpose of buying physical on Switch. Like they couldn't even bother at least putting the PS1 Metal Gear Solid on the cartridge as well. It just feels really cheap on their end.

Do happen to know if the PS5 version is also the same? The disc doesn't include all of them without a download?

Twin Snakes will almost certainly never be released due to licensing issues with Silicon Knights.
Well with PS5 it is all on the disk I believe but you will have to install it to the system.
Cool, that's good to know. I read about the switch one, which makes it pointless to get a physical if it's all not in there. Konami probably got cheap on getting the larger card to put all the content.

It would be nice if we get in Vol. 2. Wishful thinking on my end 🙂
Yeah, not sure what they were thinking for the Switch release.
I know Capcom did something similar with their Mega Man and Resident Evil Switch collections. At least with the first game or first few games in the collection were included on the cartridge.
1.0 out of 5 stars Heartbreakingly Lazy Ports

I am a huge fan of the series that was ecstatic to finally have the collection of original titles on the new Gen, unfortunately Konami has decided to take the lazy route and produce the bare minimum in performance. MG 1 and 2 run at 720p due to simply emulating the Xbox 360 version from the 2011 HD collection through an emulator. Metal Gear Solid 1 is a poorly performing port that some have proved looks worse then it did on the original PS1, MGS 2 and 3 are both emulated from the HD Collection as well at 720p upscaled to 1080p with no changes or improvements made. I will be returning my copy.

I agree with you. I did love MGS4 as well, but 2 was fantastic for its time and twin snakes made 1 all the more better
As others have said, its an extremely lazy port job, on par with the GTA trilogy that rockstar hacked together. Also on the switch game, all the solid titles are downloads, not included on the cart, so theres not much benefit to the disk other than being able to share between switches.

MGS loyalists will tell you Twin Snakes is actually inferior to the original PlayStation version. Gameplay was nuked in some places and I believe there's some censorship.
