I am not sure if newer Gen products are different.
Years ago, I bought Google mesh and found out that I can only use an app via cloud to change some settings. I returned it and never looked back.
If you need coverage by mesh network and something works out of the box, this is not a bad option.
If you need ip reserve, port forwarding and so on, you will hate this.

2. I wasn't talking about capability. I was pointing out accessibility and easiness of the interface. Settings & Options integrated in Home app... was... just terrible.
3. Sorry for not mentioning channel settings, vlan, scheduling tasks and all other adv stuff some ppl will need.
