Just need to tell them to put your old line on the second esim and you set whichever one you choose as the primary line.
I was able to get 2 phones in the same order, with $830 off for each phone.
My first internet bill generated today with no mention of mobile discount.
Btw, the internet bill has a note of price increase of $6 for pretty much every plan starting Jan 1. Weird that they are still advertising the old pricing, that I signed up for just a month ago.

Also in my situation if both #'s are on the two eSIMS's of the new Iphone 15 then what happens to the Iphone 12? I assume it would be a dead phone as it wouldn't have service any longer correct? This might work for us as my kid wants the new phone but doesn't want to give up their #.
Also one last thing, if both #'s are on the new Iphone 15 and are active do you log into both with the same apple profile or can you do use two different apple logins?

Yes, the old phone will be free which you may be able to use with another provider or for another number if needed. In my case, I was planning to sell my old phone after freeing it up.
It will be only one Apple profile per phone. I am not sure if you will be able to link the 2 numbers with 2 different apple profiles. You will need to do that separately using another device or computer if needed. But the Apple profile will be just one for the phone regardless of the numbers on it.
Noticed you can turn the cellular service On and Off for any of the two numbers if needed. This may allow you to keep just one number on the new phone and you can turn the other number on when needed.

Brought my (wife's!) new 15+ to the store which had an active number taken from a ported google voice number. Went to a young lady and asked her to switch my wife's number from her X to the second Esim on the 15+. She freaked out not knowing that it could be done and ran to what seemed a more experienced employee. That other fellow came over. They checked out my purchases, discounts, etc. on my account and employee #2 walked it over not skipping a beat. He set the second Esim on the 15+ with my wife's existing number, set that number to be primary and wished us a very Happy New Year!
Came back home, checked "My Devices' on the Xfinity site and both numbers now appear on the same phone. Credit of $22 monthly is still intact.
