FYI complete edition is PS5 only because the DLC is PS5 only. So if you only have PS4 and don't plan to get PS5 any time soon, complete edition is pointless.
Just released the complete edition w/included dlc but don't expect that to get this price for a year. Also, PS4 version has the free PS5 upgrade which will save some cash.

I still have to play the first one so I can wait for the eventual $20 complete edition

First game with all dlc is a lot to take in but it becomes great once you adjust settings and get used to it.
Second game had a decent story with mostly the same mechanics but I didn't get into the dlc as I am on PS4. Holds up well but felt more like DLC+ for the first game at times. Had even more unanswered questions than the first

The first one was my favorite game on the PS4, absolutely well done and a really cool story. With all the different machine types causing you to mix up yoru play style it has so much to offer. Although, I will say when you look online on how to beat some of the machines there's some exploits that make it super easy.

What is the difference between the launch edition and the complete edition??

Original was released 7 years ago. You really shou play it, it's a unique world to experience. Having a huge backlog means getting games cheap however once I do get AAA class games, they go to the front of the queue.
Also, the digital version is the same price and the digital DLC is $13 right now. Do not buy the $30 base game digital as it's literally identical to the PS4 version that includeds a free PS5 upgrade.
So if you don't care about the cosmeticsa and want the full game, the cheapest option is to buy the $20 base game and $13 DLC. The Complete Edition is on sale (digital) for $40; so you save $7 by skipping the cosmetics.

Can't wait for this to release on PC. Finally got around to playing Zero Dawn and I loved it. There are only a few issues that I'm hoping they resolved with this one.
