Warning: Wyze is a scummy company and notorious for bait and switch. They are the equivalent of printer companies with how they will sell you the gateway device cheap , with freebies and features initially, then switch most if not all features to paid / subscription model leaving the unit near worthless and useless unless you continue to pay fees perpetually.
I haven't experienced this. What are you referring to? They are cheap, yes. But you have to pay for services just like arlo, etc. so I'm not sure what they are allegedly scamming one on.

I have a bunch of v3 cams and v2 door sensors and never paid for anything beyond the price of the hardware. They want you to sign up for their subscription services but you don't have to. You do lose some functionality without subscription but the products are still very usable.

These don't look like good deals at all to me. Wyze cams used to sell for as low as $15–20 at a discount. I know, inflation and all, but $30 is too much, IMO. Maybe I've been spoiled by previous Wyze gens, when it was still trying to establish its brand by selling for cheaper.

FYI - if you get this deal 'get a free Wyze Cam OG with the purchase of Wyze Cam Plus Unlimited annual plan' - the Cam OG will have no warranty at all. It happened to me with the same deal but with a doorbell camera. The doorbell camera only worked for couple months then died, 'couldn't connect' error. Wyze told me go fark yourself because you're stupid enough to get a free doorbell camera lol

You have a 12 month warranty on their products. Out of luck if outside the window but you should have been able to get a replacement.

The only legit complaint I have seen for Wyze, is the high brick rate for firmware updates. And if it is out of warranty, you won't get support for it. Under the covers, the bricked devices have deleted the individual camera's password so it can't connect to their services. They can still be used as IP cams at that point with custom firmware.
Do they still not accept returns for their Black Friday sale? Or did they change that rule? I think they were doing it to boost their sales.
I use their cameras with a free account now since I moved to Nest (I used to have Wyze paid subscription but ended it due to their closed garden mentality, they could have easily thrived in the open source home automation community)

also check "TikTok shop". annoyingly sometimes those prices are better.
3x V3 for $70 seems ok, I'm glad they are still selling v3 at all. thought they'd shifted to OG to phase out free CamPlus Lite
