G29 is gear driven whereas the TMX is belt/gear hybrid, so it is smoother. You can upgrade the TMX pedals to better ones but it may not make economical sense to do so. The Thrustmaster TMX Pro or T300RS GT have better pedals out the box but aren't on sale right now (might be soon). If you don't want to mess with upgrading the pedals or need something on sale now then the G29/G920 are perfectly acceptable.
Thrustmaster huh… that's what my chick calls me.

Disclaimer I don't have a chick.
Good price..the wheel is better than the g920 but the pedals are severely lacking in my opinion. Good set for a beginner.

Great deal for the cheapest force feedback wheel available in the market. While I would personally go with the Logitech G920 for $200, if you were looking for something even cheaper, this is it. While obviously it won't be as good as now expensive wheels, tus wheel is an excellent deal for the money you are paying, specially when you realize that non-force feedback wheels go for about $99.

Hello! I'm looking into getting a wheel for my nephew but don't know much of the market. I was looking at the g920 but would you mind elaborating why this wheel is better? And if I get this thrustmaster am I able to switch out the pedals for a different set? Thank you!

I had this wheel before, was very nice for the years I used it until I upgraded to the csl dd I highly recommend for those who feel like 200 is to expensive for a wheel but still want force feedback. Only cons are that the pedals aren't to great but if this is your first wheel it isn't a big deal and with me the wheel rim randomly got a scratch one day

This won't work with GT7.

Forza horizon 5, Forza motorsport 8, wreckfest, EA F1. I play all of those on my PC with Xbox gamepass ultimate. I'm a beginner too

Would this be good for a home retro arcade? If not, what would be a better option?

I'm not looking for a sim racer. I'm converting an Arcade1Up cabinet into a MAME racing game only cabinet.

What should the Pro TMX or T300RS GT go for on sale?
