I send my oil to Blackstone Labs to have an analysis done after every oil change. Their experts told me that time is of no worry nowadays with modern oil. The only thing that matters is the mileage.

340k miles on my 03' Toyota Tacoma…my advise: just change the oil no matter what brand (within reason) every 5k or less because it doesn't cost that much to do so…this oil is made by Warren Oil Co btw

Project Farm's testing on oil is black magic and doesnt tell you anything except "feel good" nonsense. Ask any Tribologist.

That said this is excellent oil and use with confidence.

Motor oils can't be sold without meeting a certain standard. That said, there's a only difference between what additives companies put in their oil. Pretty much all off the shelf oils you can get at the parts stores meet the same specs. Owners manual should tell you the minimum certification needed such as API and ILSAC. Such as ILSAC 6A, ILSAC 6B, ILSAC 5, etc. Look at bottle. Functionally, they all work the same.

Is this comparable compared to mobil1?
I'm noticing no one is mentioning the API grade levels for the oil. When I looked into Amazon oil many years ago (about 4 or 5 years ago or so) I found that Amazon was actually good oil. A step above Mobile 1 at the time because Mobile 1 was rated for API SN whereas Amazon was rated for SN plus.
SN plus was a grade above SN as it added in LSPI (Low Speed Pre Ignition) which helps prevent hot spots in the oil (if I can remember Correctly) which can be a problem in turbocharged cars. All motor cars (non-turbo) didn't need SN plus oil.

But upon looking into the API grades again it seems there is a newer higher grade called API SP. It looks like it's a step above SN plus and two steps above SN.

According to the pictures on Amazon I see API SN plus and API SP. It might be that it's now rated for the higher grade and they haven't updated the page but it does the matter as it looks like Mobile 1 has increased their rating for API SP as well.

Bottom line is if you want a good oil for your vehicle make sure it is at least full synthetic, API SN, SN plus if it's a turbo, or just go with SP. Anything less won't be best for newer cars.
API SM is used for 2010 and older cars... just a heads up.

Hope that helps.

My 09 Odyssey EXL wheels didn't fall off. Transmission gave out at 136k. I have a Pilot Elite and can safely say I will never buy another Honda again.
Transmission failed because you did not service it. You fell for the lifetime fluid sealed scam. Plenty of Hondas in the road with 200k+ miles

synthetic oil does not go bad ..

regardless what manufacturers says change oil change at 10K that is nonsense !
Best to do it latest at 5000 or preferable 3500-4000
specially with turbo engines

These two seem to be the only weights available. I looked for 5W20, but could not find it listed at any price.
You can supposedly substitute 0-20 for 5-20. It supposedly improves gas mileage ever so slightly.

Walmart's 0W-20 at an everyday price is $18, not a huge deal there.

That and if you do not need it now the Kirkland oil, same oil as this, goes on sale a couple times a year at Costco for a little less.
