I'm interested myself haha. I'll see if they have this offer locally tomorrow.
Same. Gonna make a trip to my local att store to confirm. Perhaps they're looking to reach year-end quotas.

My parents' Sonic service is now $78 for 1GB, so ATT is competitive (even without mobile wireless discount). $600 worth of gift cards is solid. If not, the online offer with Harmon speaker is also a win.

I signed up yesterday under my wife's name. The service is currently under my name. I chatted with the rep before hand and he informed me he could do all gift cards ($50, $150, $150) all in one (that way I wouldn't have to wait) along with the speaker. After I gave him our addressed, it recognizes there's already service and informed me that if the order was placed, it would automatically be cancelled. They would have to contact the person under the address and see if their service would be terminated, etc (account being me). I just told him that our uncle was moving and was terminating service and that we're putting the service under a new name. He then informed me about the "Transfer of Liability" they do. I just told him, ok I understood and would look into it.

I instead placed the order online and have the equipment setup for delivery on Tuesday (which is the day I the new service start date). I'll just cancel my service the night before and then be setup the next (less downtime).

As of typing this now, my order is still active so here's hoping they fulfill the order so I don't have to cancel with more downtime.

Also for those that don't know, other cashback sites are doing $75 for new service with AT&T, fyi. Makes this deal even sweeter.
Can you give an update on this if possible?

I currently have ATT fiber and paying $55/month for 300Mbps. Will I still qualify for this deal if I sign up with 500Mbps? Or will I have to sign up using my wife's name? How does the cancellation work or avoid interruption of service?

Man 2Gb is tempting, but I got 1Gb at $45/mo, jumping to $60something after promo period. I don't think I can justify the cost jump.
How in the world did you manage 1gig at $45 a month! I thought I was getting a deal at $80!laugh out loud

I cancelled mine since I'm moving and having a friend set it up to secure the price. Cancelling took about a 15 minute conversation on the phone and having them email me a barcode to scan at my local UPS store along with my router/modem for a return.

Does anyone know if you can still get this promo for adding att fiber to another home while keeping fiber at the first home?

I have ATT fiber for couple of years now.
Just checked, it's $65 for 1Gig and $10 equipment fees
Not sure if it's worth switching.
Sounds like you got the worst of both worlds, like me. You should be $65 with out equipment fees. The standard rate that started like two years ago is flat rate $65 without equipment fees.

Anyone know how long I would have to keep this service if I sign up and take the gift cards? I'm currently using Google Fiber and will probably want to come back to it, based on prior experience with ATT. Thanks.

Only internet over cell service available for me. If only I knew when fiber would be available in my area so I can get rid of Spectrum.

I am thinking of same thing. I have no advice to give other than I have heard there can be only one account per house. So you may have some down time it seems.
i have tried this before and it is possible to get on a different household name and you have to tell them you are moving out, but they call back and forth to both parties to confirm cancellation and the times for new connection might not overlap with cancellation.
I don't do anymore because i also have the 1gig plan with hbo max from few year back now, and if i do it, i won't get hbo max.

Does the free speaker only work through chat? Do I have to checkout through the agent?

Apparently it doesn't require a tech to come out. It's a self setup kit (let's see how this goes). The service start date is just the date the equipment arrives to me (based on address / warehouse location).
Keep us updated on this please. When I tried to do this, I was getting an error. Wouldn't even let me check out and they were trying to push the transfer plan thingy. I said no. Thank you.

I thought about grabbing this as a back up to my Google Fiber. Had AT&T fiber for almost 2 years before google fiber about 8 months ago. Google fiber is superior in every way. The Crap BG GW from AT&T can't disable double natting it does after a recent software update. Constant outages and issues. Google fiber has yet to have an outage. Using my own router and equipment and not their crap. Just can't even justify the backup ISP for WFH when Google Fiber never ever goes out.....ever. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
This is IMHO but AT&T stinks where I live. Spectrum if your on a budget or GF for $70 flat rate 1gig solid is the way to go. You've been warned! Peace
I agree. At&t sucks and is oversubscribed where I am. Slow speeds, disconnections, and junk hardware.

If you sign up, take screenshots of your deal and reward amount. I had to call and email multiple times after I signed up and they denied my claim until I sent them screenshots of check out and my prior conversations with customer service. Was warned by prior slickdealers and glad I listened.

Expect that your bill will jump to $95 after the promo and they are not willing to pricematch the competition.

Google Fiber has been great with no issues.
