Comcast would never... If anything Comcast would say my promo is up and we are raising your rate by 50%
I also recently upgraded to the 1 gig speed. att offered me another $50 gift card as part of the upgrade
Very stable and consistent connection imo. The speed sometimes does vary (slower during times of congestion it feels like), hench the chance to 1 gb speed. I fully recommend att fiber over Comcast if given the choice (at least here in SF Bay area).
Now if only Verizon FiOS would come to town, for some real competition and lower prices.

Switched from Cox due to high prices ($130 for Gigabit cable) and data caps (1.25TB/month)
ATT Came out, ran the fiber wires and did a full install for free. Easy setup all around.
Took a few weeks (maybe a month?) to get the gift cards. All of them came but 1.. it was stuck in "Processing" on their online tracker for like 6 weeks before I contacted them. They gave me a $250 credit on my bill (3 months' worth!) since I was never sent it. It stayed on processing. I ended up contacting them on Facebook and they re-started the offer, waited 4 weeks and it came through as a $250 gift card, so super nice to get both.
Service has generally been very good -- great upload speeds which you'll never get with cable. No caps. Overall good.
ATT was doing work in the area a few months ago and cut the fiber by accident. I didn't realize this, called ATT Support, they opened a ticket.. found out the guy outside cut the cable, ATT Support called back to make sure it was fixed and offered a $20 credit towards my bill

I am sure they will sing a different song after 30 days. I am told to wait 30 days.
