Going on 9 years with this model(2 homes with multiple cats + a dog) and have very few complaints. Biggest by far is Shark's lack of support in the realm of manufacturing spare parts. If something DOES break on you you're going to be buying secondhand on eBay/FB/etc. Having said that, in 9 years the only issue I ever had was caused by my own error in vacuuming up a spill on carpet and highly underestimating the amount of liquid that was present which rusted out the foil filter in the canister. Clean your 2-stage filters(not the HEPA) and this thing is a reliable workhorse.
At this price I picked another up just to have a spare and for an upright at $100 this seems like a no-brainer, the only exception being if you need proper HEPA in which case you should be skipping bagless vacs altogether.
Don't agree. My NV70 hose just split apart after years of use. Thought about buying new but the NV70 is a great vacuum and I'd hate to lose it. I just ordered a replacement hose from Shark this afternoon and about an hour later they let me know they had already shipped my OEM part and I'll be getting it soon. Amazon has so many knockoff parts and they don't include the suction control valve like the OEM version and they are all different lengths. So for $20 I'll have my vacuum back up again and running for probably several more years.

100% agree…love my shark, but spare parts are aftermarket only for the most part…I'm a DIY'r so I like to fix the shit I have…
Any shark vacuum is very tough to get hair out of the roller. It accumulates quickly on these. If you have long haired people at home, this thing starts nose-diving quick once the roller fills up and jams. And they don't make it easy to get it out.

Agree, though the new ones are supposed to address that. So I'm looking for one of those if it works, here's a renewed model for $109

I only buy the model with self cleaning brush roll exactly for this reason. hair never jams it.

I'll have to try that. I've had robot vacuums that supposedly had that feature - it helped but didn't eliminate it completely because hair wraps around anything that turns.

The ones on the shark model (not this post) is great. There are tiny metal things on the roll that breaks hair as they start to wrap. I suppose with the robot the roller isn't strong enough to break hair since it's battery powered.
