Building your own only make sense if you have access to Microcenter deal. Probably comes out to $1250-1350 with MC $470 7800x3d combo. The benefit is mostly in being able to pick your own parts.
And your passion to build.

Novice here. I've been playing with the builder and looking for opinions
Debating on swapping the chassis to CORSAIR ICUE 4000X RGB SERIES ATX and adding 3X 120mm Corsair iCUE fans, or am I better off keeping the Raidmax and adding in the Phanteks RGB fans?
~$79 difference. Any input would be appreciated!
The raidmax comes with rgb fans. I'd buy your own fans after if you don't like them. Matter of taste for the chassis.

Is this a great deal vs the other post on FP with the i9? Looking for something for my son and looking for best performance and price. Thank you advanced!
If your talking about the 1900 dollar front page than this is a better price to performance deal

Can anyone weigh in on this build with 7900 xtx and 32 gb ram vs the i9 Best Buy deal with 4070 ti and 64 gb ram? They cost the same. Moving over from console gaming and want to get a rig that will allow for 4k gaming good enough to be noticeable coming from console

Can someone let me know if a 240 AIO that's in the build OP posted is enough or is it worth spending just a little bit more to get a 360 AIO?

Still very new to this but watched a ton of videos today. Planning on going with the 7800X3d and 7800 XT combo

Most reviewers say for FUTURE games the 7900 xtx 24 gb of ram, would allow 4k gaming better, but 4070 ti might not do as good with only 12gb of ram.
For current games there would be about 20 FPS (avg 100 FPS)more on 7900, without RayTracing, and with RT on the 4070 has a slight advantage but you would be gaming at 40FPS. Not sure what the console avg FPS might be

That AIO is more than enough to cool the CPU. AMD CPUs consumes a lot less power during load. And 7800X3D is not een their higher core count Processors, just 8 Cores. That CPU cooler is even capable of cooling their 16C 7950X CPU.

It's sufficient, but since it's a no-name unknown manufacturer it's probably garb. Get the RM850x SHIFT 80 PLUS Gold for 53$ more (A-tier high end PSU).

Remember, the PSU is the most important component in a build.
Are you sure that High Power is a no-name brand?

7800x3d is more than 15% faster in games vs the 7900x at 1440p and under, 4k is only 5% but games become more GPU bound at 4k.. tests were done with a 4090.

In applications the 7900x beats the x3d by over 20%.

So the key thing here is that the difference only really shows up with a 4090, not a RX 7800 XT.

7900 xtx all day. When games require a little more vrm in a few years the 4070 ti is going to lose about 20-30% of its perfomance on max settings. Meanwhile the 7900 xtx will be running max settings ray tracing noticeably faster with no stuttering due to loading textures of the 4070 ti. Now 4080 is a different story since it's good on the vram side. If vrm was equal on the ti it would be fine.
