edit: read the stream of reviews on best buy. lots of people say it work and others say it's a piece of crap. the reviews are almost all complimentary gifts to reviewers so i'm not super confident

You said, "How do you charge your phone?" How is asking that proving a point? The only way that question is rhetorical is if you think the only place to charge a phone is in a car.
