Ultra is a better headphone. Recently released. But QC45 is of course cheaper and a very good headphone. Can't go wrong with them. This is still basically double the price of QC45 on sale.

I have both.
IMO if you can get the Ultras for $270 or less, that's my choice.
QC 45's are dropping fast in price and IMO Costco BF sale is the one to get.

Bought for 269 at Walmart and returned them still..nothing wrong, but sounds like most any other Bose. A total ripoff at anything plus 300!

It's the same exact drivers as found on Bose 700, with tweaked tuning. Bose literally recycled the 700 hardware. I respect it's opinion but the hype with these is phenomenal

Was referring to 2021 version, sorry. But the 2023 for 220 also is a good deal

I have used QCII for 8 years daily for 8 hours a day. I recently upgraded to these. They have spacial sound which is gimmicky and I have no use for. The worst part is the power button. Instead of the switch where you can tell exactly its state, these have a press-and-hold. You have to have them on your head to turn on and it plays a loud sound. Absolutely obnoxious!!! I would switch back if I hadn't given the others away.

Ultras were 270 very briefly, at night, one day. It was a pricing error at Walmart. Now that the benchmark has been set I will wait until it becomes $270. I have 3 Bose headphones, older gens and I liked them enough for commuting and flying. $270 price point is going to be tough to find, perhaps in 5-8 months a refurb.

Oh okay thanks! I like that the Ultra's have seemingly a little better noise cancellation (that's my number 1 priority) but the controls look way better on the 2023 and 2021 models (manual power switch, manual volume buttons, etc.)
