I personally have this for one of my dogs and it does a pretty good job of keeping track of your pet's activity and location. This is a must for any dog or cat that has escape tendencies. There are some complaints about battery life but setting up a safe place within your WiFi range should keep the battery life for close to a week.
Amazon also has this same unit for the same price.

List price is $199.95 and it is on the Whistle website currently for $149.
